  • LeAnn Wheeler, Head Trainer

LeAnn has been an athlete her entire life and has worked out in some capacity since joining the Air Force right out of high school.

She started racing triathlons during her military days while stationed in Southern California. She is a 4-time Ironman Finisher and has raced numerous triathlons, biathlons, and marathons. She was a personal trainer for many years and a Coach with the Atlanta Triathlon Club from 2009 through 2012.   In 2012, she decided she needed a change of pace from triathlons and was looking for her next challenge so she decided to join CrossFit Tucker.

From the very first workout, she was hooked and, in 2018, became a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.   Her favorite part of coaching is helping athletes achieve goals they never thought were possible. LeAnn’s favorite movement is the Clean and Jerk, and her favorite workout is Helen.

  • Vivian McCann

    CrossFit Level 1

Vivian started her CrossFit career at CrossFit Tucker in 2016.  She loved the challenge CrossFit provided and is very strong with Barbell movements.  Back in in 2020, she decided to obtain her CF Level 1 certificate and has been coaching ever since.  You can find Vivian coaching the 5:30 pm class daily.

Her favorite CrossFit movements are deadlifts, chipper workouts and of course her 5:30 people! Her least favorite is definitely running even though LeAnn convinced her to run a half marathon!

She is grateful for the people and the community she has found at CrossFit Tucker and the friends she made along the way.

  • Michele Lear

    Coach/ Social Media Director

    CrossFit Level 1 Trainer

    Registered Dietician Nutritionist (RDN)

Sports have always been a big part of my life, and once into adulthood, I realized I still craved that competitive atmosphere. I joined CrossFit Tucker in 2013, and I have loved CrossFit ever since. I recently decided to get my certification to be a coach, and I was able to do that through the online course. I currently coach the Foundations On-Ramp classes, and I am a graduate student at Georgia State University pursuing a Master’s Degree in Nutrition. Once I graduate in the fall, I hope to be able to combine my love of fitness and my love of food to encourage people to pursue a sustainable, healthful lifestyle.

  • Carey Allison

    CF-L2

    CrossFit Kids

    Health & PE Certified

    Certified Special Olympics Coach

    Adapted PE Teacher

Carey was introduced to CrossFit in 2013 after having her third child. While fitness was always an important part of her life, she still felt that she needed more of a challenge, that is until she discovered CrossFit. Participating in CrossFit only served to increase her love for health and fitness. The workouts never get boring; there is always a new challenge.

As an educator, one who has taught both Physical Education and coached gymnastics, it seemed a natural progression for Carey to acquire her Level 1 Certification in August 2013. Shortly after, she began coaching adults and then kids. In 2018, she received her Level 2 Certification.

This has allowed her to combine her passion for CrossFit with her love of coaching. It is exhilarating to watch athletes transform not only their bodies but also change their perceptions of what they think their bodies can do. Carey’s favorite movement is toes to bar, and her favorite workout is Glen.

  • Angie Buckem

    CrossFit Level 2

    NAP - SM Certified PT

    Certified Softball Pitching Coach

Angie has coached CrossFit for 7 years and has been a part of the CFT community since 2013. Angie is a former Social Worker turned full-time Softball Coach and Mom of a busy young daughter.

She started her CrossFit journey in 2010. As a former Collegiate Athlete and Coach, Angie sought a level of exercise that would challenge her competitive side and help her meet her fitness goals. CrossFit is a huge contributing factor in helping her lose 120lbs. She is always willing to tell her weight loss story in hopes of motivating and helping others with their goals.

Angie’s favorite WOD is Grace, and her favorite movements are hang cleans, and double unders. And thanks to CrossFit, she has a passion for rowing and has competed in several rowing events.

  • Jason Winterstein

    Coach

    CrossFit Level 1

    CrossFit Level 2

    CrossFit Specialty Course: Endurance

    CEU: Spot the Flaw

I began my CrossFit journey in 2012, recognizing I needed more core strength to be a better runner. Through CrossFit, I was able to gain enough strength to complete several ultramarathons over the next several years, including The Great Southern Endurance Run, H9 50 miler, and dozens of 50ks. I completed and finished third place in the Men's team 80+ division in The TransRockies Run, a 6-day point-to-point trail running race covering 120 miles from Buena Vista to Beaver Creek, CO.  I also had this nutter idea to do a 100k row to raise money for Networks (located in Tucker). I completed the row in about 9 hours in one sitting.

My focus changed from endurance to strength, and I then shifted my training to less running and more gym time. I began coaching in 2017. Growing up as a High School Wrestling Coach’s son, coaching has always been in my blood. I recognized the need to advance my own knowledge and understanding that moving safely can be best achieved by having the deeper insight that only coaching brings to light.

I have three awesome children, a beautiful, loving wife of 19 years (who is also a CFL2), two dogs, and three cats.
